A Retro Love Affair
A retro car is like retro fashion. You either love it or you don’t. You have to have the eye for the style and passion for the time period. If you don’t see the sparkle in your eye reflecting off of the bumper and the thumb, thumb, thumb in your chest, as you put the key in the ignition, then you may not belong to the group of car lovers that reach back in time where cars were as unique as the people who designed them.
Like a good bourbon, a cool retro car only gets better and more valuable with time. If taken care of and maintained, she can remind you of a beautiful woman in vintage fashion. Nothing can stop her. She is at the top of her class and needs to be treated gently.
The upkeep is rewarding when picking up your gal, dressed in her retro red dress, she excitedly purchased at the local thrift shop down the street, especially for the occasion. Halos hover above, as you proudly open the passenger door and offer her a seat. A few squeaks as you close the door is music to your ears.
Your demeanor is obvious and your attitude does not need adjusting. You are right where you want to be. And although she may need a new paint job and some tinkering here and there, you are in love. And you can’t stop thinking about her.
Cruise on down the boulevard, with your hair slicked back and arm coolly hanging out of the window as your music blares to retro rock n roll ‘Get it on’ by Chase. Nod and gloat as the onlookers scream and wave at you as if you were James Dean. Let the style of your retro 2 door hypnotize others as the tires spin round and round with hubcaps that reflect envious souls. You are dressed to the nine in your new retro street fashion car and it feels good.
